Recently, the Smart Technology + Energy Supply Chain Integration Innovation Lab, jointly built by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and CHN Energy was inaugurated in the Beijing Daxing Economic Development Zone (BDEDZ). Four major smart technology labs focused on "Green and Low-Carbon, Digital Twin, Intelligent Computing, and Smart Applications" have started operations in the BDEDZ.

In terms of digitalization, a data element innovation platform has been established to support the entire data development and application chain. This includes the creation of three sub-platforms: data quality assessment, a trusted data space for the energy sector, and digital twin and human-machine interaction application innovation. These platforms aim to safeguard data assetization, data incorporation into ledgers, data circulation, and innovative applications.

Regarding intelligence, an artificial intelligence technology product testing and validation platform has been set up to support innovative applications. The focus is on testing and evaluating intelligent computing products, optimizing software and hardware collaboration, and validating compatibility. This effort will aid in product selection and application implementation within the energy industry. Additionally, the labs will concentrate on testing and validating AI models and terminal application capabilities, conducting pre-research on new technologies, and incubating cutting-edge scenarios to create a range of innovative application samples, promoting the deployment of advanced AI technologies in the energy sector.

In the area of green development, a comprehensive service platform for green transformation has been established to accelerate the growth of green productivity. The platform provides green services for the energy industry and builds a digital carbon management service platform to manage the carbon footprint of the energy supply chain and lead the development of the national carbon emission background database. Furthermore, the labs will conduct green industrialization testing and establish a green low-carbon frontier technology research and validation platform to support the incubation and application of new green and low-carbon technologies in the energy industry.
