On August 12, CHN Energy Sichuan Company released over 15,000 rare fish fries into the Mianyuan River at the Mianzhu Hydropower Station. Over the past eight years, the company has released more than 6 million rare fish fries across various local river basins, actively contributing to the sustainable development of fish resources and ensuring ecological balance in these water bodies.
The company has consistently prioritized ecological protection of the waters. Since 2016, fish stocking and release have been included in the company's annual budget and regular operations. The seven hydropower stations under its management organize fish stocking activities annually based on their specific circumstances. To date, over 6 million fries of various species, including Schizothorax prenanti, Schizothorax wangchiachii, and Gymnodiptychus dybowskii, have been released into the Chuosijia, Nanya and Mianyuan rivers, among others.
